Troy Merckle, PT, DPT, CSCS attended Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas majoring in Biology and subsequently completing his Physical Therapy degree at The Ohio State University in 1997. Additionally, he has earned his Certification through the National Strength and Conditioning Association as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. Dr. Merckle has spent his professional career in outpatient orthopedic medicine, with an emphasis in sports medicine.

Dr. Merckle has prescribed rehabilitation and performance enhancement programs for elite and recreational athletes at all competitive levels in gymnastics, football, basketball, baseball and soccer, and endurance sports. His reputation and expertise have allowed him to work with Olympic track athletes, NFL players, professional basketball players and professional soccer players. Dr. Merckle served as a physical therapist for the Cincinnati Reds organization for 10 years in addition to contributing as a consultant for the Washington Nationals.

Dr. Merckle has spoken at several continuing education events, focusing on functional assessment, rehabilitation, and conditioning. He is an excellent communicator and can quickly gain the confidence of his patients and peers alike. Dr. Merckle’s passion is to provide solutions to his clients through actively listening to their goals and utilizing his years of experience and knowledge to design custom programs, leading to excellent outcomes.

Dr. Merckle enjoys spending time with his wife Amy and two girls, Chloe and Mallory.  His family is active in their local church and they also enjoy camping, fitness training, and outdoor activities.
